Throughout the summer, you’ll find them presenting at info sessions, greeting visitors at the Office of Admission, conducting on-campus interviews and hanging out at admission events. Our senior fellows may be among the friendly faces you'll meet at Collins House.
Whether you make it to campus or have questions from afar, these students are excited to connect with you!
Kevin Liu ’16, summer fellow
Hometown: Mercer Island, WA
High School: Mercer Island High School
Kevin is a Politics major and Chinese studies minor. He was born in Boston, grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, and now calls Seattle home. Whenever breaks roll around, Kevin would much rather drive than fly the 1,101 miles between Seattle and Los Angeles. Despite frequently stopping to smell of the flowers, Kevin is also involved with various extracurricular activities at Oxy. He is the Vice President of the Phi Kappa Psi California Mu fraternity, was a tour guide for semester, works for the Bengal Bus, plays for the Men's Varsity Golf team, and was a summer research Gerkin fellow. His hobbies include basketball, tennis, stand up paddleboarding, travelling, and piano. Kevin is especially excited to interview prospective students because of his experience as a high school senior. During his conversation with a Senior Fellow, they discussed the importance of identity, and how identity is unique to every person. Kevin is a proud American born Chinese (ABC) that hopes to become involved with public interest law and create change through policy and government.
